Answer the following questions on YOUR blog as a post. Use the same title as mine for your post. Write your answers in complete sentences! An easy way to do this is to copy and paste the questions below onto your post and then put your answers in a different color!
1) What has to be the same in order for two parallelograms to be similar?
In order for parallelograms to be similar they need to have the same angles.
2) Describe a way to find a missing side length in a pair of similar figures.
In order to find a missing side length in a pair of similar figures you fist have to find the scale facter of the figures. Second youtake the one corrasponding side that has the number and then take scale facter and multiply the two numbers and the anwser you get is your missing number.
3) I have a small isosceles triangle with a base of 3 inches and other sides are 4 inches.I want to create a similar isosceles triangle with a base of 7.5 inches. What should the other side lengths be and why?

Sometimes when I make copies of worksheets for you, I reduce the the original to waste less paper! (one small thing to help save our planet! :) http://www.ourearth.org/Let's say that my original paper is 8 inches by 10 inches. I type in 50% to the copier to reduce the paper. Using the math reflection rubric I handed out this year, answer the following questions on your blog (1 bonus point for answering in paragraph form instead of question/answer form):
1) Compare the oringinal paper's side lengths to the new paper's side lengths.
2) Compare the angles of the original to the new paper.
3) Compare the area of the new paper to the area of the original.
1. the new side lengthes are 2x smaller.
2.the angeles of both the new and original stay the same because angles never change
3.the areas of the reduced is 40 x smaller than the originakl
